Palomino Graphite Pencils

BLACKWING

The legendary Palomino Blackwing is made in Japan from cedarwood and high-quality graphite. It's been the chosen pencil of pop-culture icons from Truman Capote to Quincy Jones. The soft, broad point draws a black line and wears easily down to a soft sketch-friendly shape. The barrel is long and sleek, with a characteristic rectangular replaceable eraser.

BLACKWING 602

The Palomino Blackwing 602 is the modern reincarnation of the famous Eberhard-Faber Blackwing 602. The special-formula graphite lead behaves like a B lead but varies in appearance according to pressure - from HB (firm) lead to 4B (soft) lead.

It has a precise point with good point retention and makes a dark grey line. Its motto is emblazoned on the barrel - Half the pressure, twice the speed - and this is a great description of the writing experience.

BLACKWING PEARL

The Palomino Blackwing Pearl features a lustrous pearl white finish and black eraser, along with a balanced and smooth graphite core that is softer than the graphite found in the Palomino Blackwing 602, but firmer than the graphite found in the Palomino Blackwing.

Having tried and tested them all over many years my favourite is the Pearl.  Oh so buttery smooth.  Don't forget the sharpener especially created for these lovely pencils.  It's sold separately.

*Sharpener and replacement erasers sold separately.
